Why Choose a Boho Rattan Pendant Light?
Boho style is all about natural textures, organic shapes and a cozy, collected feel. A rattan pendant light delivers all three at once. The woven shade softens bright bulbs into a gentle glow, while the open weave throws beautiful shadow patterns across walls and ceilings once the sun goes down.
Our boho rattan pendant lights are handmade from sustainably harvested rattan and finished by hand, so every piece carries its own subtle character. With tens of thousands of orders shipped worldwide, they have become a favorite among homeowners who want artisan quality at prices far below typical US retailers.
Handcrafted by Artisans
Every boho rattan pendant in this collection is woven by hand in small workshops, where artisans shape, bend and tie each strand of rattan around a frame. This slow process gives each shade a slightly irregular, organic finish that factory made lights simply cannot copy. Natural rattan is lightweight, durable and renewable, making it a thoughtful choice for homes that value both beauty and sustainability.
Choosing the Right Shape for Your Space
Dome shades direct light downward, making them perfect for dining tables and kitchen islands. Globe pendants spread a soft, even glow in every direction, ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. Open weave designs create dramatic shadow patterns, while tighter weaves give a calmer, more diffused light. If you want a statement piece, look for sculptural shapes such as bells or waves to add a playful boho touch.
Where to Hang Boho Rattan Pendants
Over a dining table, a single large shade creates a natural focal point, while a cluster of small rattan pendants above a kitchen island adds rhythm and texture. In the bedroom, hang one beside the bed in place of a table lamp to free up space. For living rooms with high ceilings, an oversized rattan pendant fills the vertical space and anchors the whole room.
Styling Tips
Pair your pendant with linen, jute rugs, macramé, terracotta and plenty of greenery for a classic boho look. Choose a warm white bulb (2700K) to bring out the honey tones of the rattan. Mixing two or three shapes in the same finish, such as a dome with a globe, keeps the look relaxed rather than overly matched.
FAQ
What size boho rattan pendant light should I choose?
For a dining table, pick a shade about one half to two thirds the width of the table. Use small pendants under 14 inches for kitchen islands and bedside lighting, and oversized shades of 24 inches or more for large living rooms and high ceilings.
Can I use a boho rattan pendant in the bathroom or outdoors?
Natural rattan is best for dry indoor spaces. Avoid direct contact with water and high humidity to keep the weave strong and beautiful for years.
What bulb works best with a rattan pendant?
A standard LED bulb in warm white is ideal. LEDs stay cool, save energy and highlight the natural color of the rattan.
How do I clean my rattan pendant light?
Dust it gently with a soft brush or use a hairdryer on the cool setting. For deeper cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it dry completely.

Warm and beautiful. So happy!
Excellent craftsmanship on this piece. Ordered the Size L for our living room’s vaulted ceiling and it makes a serious statement without being too heavy looking.
